IDW Nominated for 7 Harvey Awards

Peer-nominated awards recognize IDW creators and books


Yesterday, the 2009 Harvey Award nominees were released, and IDW was prominent in the ranks. Conceived to "recognize outstanding work in comics and sequential art," the Awards are open to all creative professionals, who are invited to nominate their peers.

Our fellow creators have honored IDW with seven nominations, including two for Scorchy Smith and the Art of Noel Sickles and for The Dreamer, plus three Best Domestic Reprint nominations.  Full list after the jump.

IDW Releases Captain Canuck

First hardcover collection available now

IDW Publishing is proud to release the first hardcover collection of "Canada's own" Captain Canuck, available in stores throughout the U.S. and Canada now. The first of a two volume series, Captain Canuck Vol. 1 will feature issues #4-10, written by Richard Comely with art by George Freeman and Claude St. Aubin. This volume will also include previously unpublished newspaper strips, plus sketches by Freeman.

Starting this week, Transformers fans can get an exclusive Defiance cover and an Alliance digital comics included with the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DVD at Best Buy. The DVD set also includes codes that unlock Transformers content on BestBuy.com, plus exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from Linkin Park.

IDW Stays Strong on the NYTimes Best Seller List

Star Trek Countdown posts week nine! Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie adaptation debuts!

The ramp up to the highly-anticipated Transformers movie helped make this another good week for IDW. The movie adaptation debuted on The New York Times Best Seller list, while Star Trek: Countdown extended its streak to nine weeks. While this list only tracks physical sales, both books are a hit digital on iTunes, as well. 

Before heading to theaters next week, makes sure to pick up Transformers prequel and adapation comics, available at book and comic book stores everywhere and on iTunes!

Transformers Comics Top 5 on iTunes

IDW debuts new ePublishing initiative with digital TRANSFORMERS comics


IDW Publishing is proud to announce that all twelve of the recently released TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN comic applications are among the Top 25 on iTunes. The company's movie prequels and adaptation comics, under license from Hasbro, Inc., are the first wave of IDW's own digital applications.
